So I just got a 360......finally! I'm stoked on it and have a small external 360 HD. I do NOT have an internal one. The issue is that I just got Final Fantasy XXII (not knowing that I NEED a hard drive). So I have a 2 part question.
Part 1:
Is is possible to format a regular USB 2.0 Flash Drive (8 GB) on a Macintosh in order for it to be seen and used by the 360? It would help a lot because I'd have much more room for saves etc.....
Part 2:
Even if it works as an external HD, will I be able to play FF XXII? It looks like I may just have to add the space.
Part 3:
I have a 40 GB 2.5 drive from an old CPU. Wondering if that would be able to be put into the XBOX and have it serve as my internal HD? Or do I need a special type of internal drive?
Thanks for the help in advance. I'm pretty new at this and I appreciate all of the knowledge that I have already gained from this forum!

Hi there. the long and short answer to your questions are.
1: You can format a flash drive with a mac for it to be seen by a 360 but you need a certain program to do it correctly, but i can't remember what program it is. I'll look into that for ya.
2: The problem is even if you DO format a drive for the 360 you can save games ONLY on the 360 HDD or a memory card.
3: The old drive you have can do nothing except store movies and music and photos if formatted properly. (see second point)
hope that clears it up a little _________________________________________________________ Predtech
