Hey y'all!

I'm trying to System Link two 360s with wireless adapters (no mod chip yet Smile ), to punish my son on COD2. I can't seem to get it to work. They are not close enough together for an ad hoc architecture. Since they can both reach XBL via my wireless router, I'm hoping I can set up an infrastructure network to frag his ass.

Anyone know how to do it?????

Thanks!

The Long-Lost PorscheXboxster

Are they in the same house both connecting to the same wireless router? If so you should be able to just set up a syslink game and it work like normal, no need for adhoc.

I've tried it, but it doesn't seem to work. I've tried creating a game on each console, but each time the other console can't find the game! Yikes!

Yes, they are both in the same house, same router.

One console is in the basement. The router is on the floor above it, directly underneath this console. The other consle is on the same floor as the router, two rooms over.

how about trying to directly connect the two consoles..
Just setup temporarily side-by-side and then connect a CROSSOVER cable and not a normal Network Patch lead..

It should work fine when they are directly connected.. If not.. Thats where your problems are starting.

Sorry i dont have more suggestions.. Sad

This suggestion had crossed my mind, but I hate the thought of disassembling one of the set-ups, but I guess I'll try it. If I get it to work, I'll know it's a wireless problem, and if it doesn't work, it's something else!

Thanks!

Any way to tell if an ethernet cable is a cross-over or a patch? I tried it with what I thought was a cross-over... I thought I had used it a while back to link 2 Xbox together. At any rate, no joy!
