I'm new at this but I was thinking of getting a modchip installed on my xbox 360 so that i can play imported and back up games. So I was wondering if i installed the Xeno Top gear onto my xbox 360, will it allow me to play back ups and imported games. Also can some explain to me the difference between the Xeno top Gear and a modchip

At the moment you cant play imports via a modchip. All a modchip does is allow you to play burnt copies of your games. But with M$ banning consoles I wouldn't suggest even putting a chip in. There coming out with a new firmware here in the next few days that you will want to use. Do not flash, or play any backed up copies of games, until we put out information regarding this. Or you run a chance of having your console banned from xbox live.

oh all right. Can someone also explain to me the stuff about firmware and flash stuff like what do they mean? can anyonegive me a explaination or a link to a explaination?

Theres a modified firmware for each drive out there. The old ones are not safe, and will get you banned due to M$ finding a way to dectect it. They are working on new firmware. The first one to come out will be for the Samsung dvd drive. The second will be for Hitachi's. Look thru the tutorial section, and you will find a guide on how to know tell which drive you have.
There also should be a detailed tutorial on how to flash your drive. I would hold off like I said till the newest firmware is available. I also forgot to mention what the Xeno Top Gear is, you install it, then you can flash your drive via the tool. You wont have to take apart your case any longer. Just once to install the tool.

Thanks but i am this is completely new know to me. CAn you explain to me what exactly does FLASHING and FIRMWARE mean in turns of the xbox 360? I think i Have the Hitachi dvd drive. Is the firmware going to be release soon?

Flashing is where you replace the firmware on your dvd drive with a modified version. It only allows you to backup your game collection and use burnt disc. Only really good if you have kids, or are worried about your disc getting scratched. Others use this to run pirated games, that they steal from the internet, or make copies of games they rent, which is theft as well.
With this you run the risk of getting banned from Xbox Live. Which is pretty rough, considering just how much it has to offer. I wish I had never backed my games up, and gotten banned. I have kids, and thus backed my games up. If I could go back, I would never had done so. If you get banned the only way to use Xbox Live, is to get another console. They ban the console from live, so it will never be able to connect again.
Also with the new firmware that will be released, its not full proof. Perhaps you get away with backups for a few months, but its inevitable that M$ will find a way to detect it, and thus bans will result.
There are guides in the tutorial section, covering a great deal of what I have said already.

you can get it from xbins then all we do is upload it to our server on HQ and let everone get it.
