After a drunken gaming session on the weekend my wired headset is now broken and i'm thinking of getting a wireless one.

My only concern is that there was a few reported problems with them when they were first released (interference, breakup of signal) have these problems been fixed, has anyone got one and would reconmend them or should i just stick to a wired one (and be more carefull after a few drinks).

i bought the wireless one and have had no problems what so ever, i sit about 4-5 meters away from my tv and there has not been any interference so far even when i go through to my garage for a drink with the headset on i can still hear my friends talking so personally i would buy one, got to be one of my better investments.

The issue lies in your wireless controller. I have one wireless controller that will not sync up with my wireless headset. The other will. I found this out when I called MS about it. They troubleshooted with me and found out I have a defective controller in respects to linking with headset. They offered to replace it free of charge if it was within 90 days of purchase...unfortunately it was not so I am stuck with keeping my wireless headset linked to one controller.

Other then that, buy one. They are great! Sounds good, quality is good. I love mine.

Hi guys,

Ive got the wireless headset myself too.
Never had a issue.. Ive heard of lots of dramas with them but ive had one since pre-release and great.

I must admit the range isnt that great with them.. But hey i have a huge loungeroom etc.. Im around 6 metres away from my machine constantly without any probs..

If i do go out to the kitchen it occassionally drops out due to the huge fridge i have.. lol

Its no drama though.. It resyncs auto..

love it..

cheers,

hobbs
