I don't know of a way to flash the Philips drive, I was thinking it is only possible on Hitachi and Samsung. You may want to consider a return because as far as I know that drive is from either a prototype 360 or from a debug unit and won't work with the current systems. Wait for another opinion to make sure but I haven't found anything that will let you flash it.

Most likely get an error code of some sort meaning that the drive key doesn't match the system key. And it would just simply not work.

From what ive read everyone's saying its a new drive that they found.

Personally it sounds to me like a debug drive since it was manufactured in April 2005.. Its way to old to be a new 360 drive... But hey ive been wrong before.

Ive heard all sorts of speculation about them but i cant be 100% positive unless i get one myself..

Either way i doubt you will be able to flash it etc since its a non-supported drive just now.
