Ok after looking around at xbox-scene and here, it seems that no one has accompished the larger harddrive upgrade. Even though we can use flashdrive/mass storage via using the usb, it doesn't allowed to be written to those devices.
Now I don't know if there's anybody that is willing to try that is a hardware techie and knows some enginering here's my idea.
1: using the memorycard and dismantal it
2: somehow resolder to a control chip and put a usb controller
3: mod the xb360 memory card to accomilat the extra addons and hook up any usb storage device either with fat/fat32 and see if it reconiges.
Why am I posting this idea if the HD idea failed?
After looking around I noticed some theories are about the sata chip and the HDD bios are married or otherwise the cylinder check and hash check.
Granted the MU is probably signed too but I bet there's one or more security check that we have to deal with.
I know I should probably post this on xbox-scene but I'm not going to register on that site because I don't feel too compeled to associate with assholes and I don't post here as much as I use to so 1up for me hehehe.
Admin if this is in wrong forum please relocate it since there's no real topic that this could follow into unlike in xbox-scene.

I could do this and this does sound like a good idea. I have yet to try the large hard drive upgrade yet as I need to buy a SATA laptop drive since I have no spares. If I have a major strength it is hardware and components. So I wonder if I assemble both ideas and run into software protection issues, if someone with programming skills will help.
You see all I want is more storage space. 20GB is not enough. I have to delete things all the time and I am one that likes to collect the downloads. My goal with a solution for more storage has nothing to do with storing full games on drive but mainly just to keep the things I like from Live. It is time to have a 200GB drive in my 360! _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!

you can't upgrade the Hard drive people tried and they failed because MS has signed the hard drive. How? Hell should I know but when you put in the MU the microsoft icon in the memory doesn't have one so if my idea works then you can have high as you want unsigned read/writable memory port.
I forgot that you need a voltage regulator, bet someone out there will be smart enough!
Since the MU is basically modified usb port with read/write access I say someone have to try this!
Then again if it works I bet MS will release a FW patch to stop this... lol
