Just wondering how many of you guys are interested in hacking the Xbox ONE, like ASAP. I seriously interested in homebrew and am hoping that the scene will be so so much nicer this time round. The 360 was a bore to me, JTAG and RGH shit, i got so bored of it. Let's hope we get some sort of modchip solution for homebrew.. If hacks come out ill be attempting them. _________________________________________________________ HQ Network:

i gotta say, 360 more or less has the scene beat, i think microsoft will be proud of themselves as there is no easy solution (for homebrew). i think ps3 still has some room to be played with and will be a hot number in years to come like the xbox original.
i hope the Xone will be an easy hack but i doubt it, m$ did so well on 360 i am guessing they are grinning about x86_64 arch because everyone thinks it will be easy, im sure they have something up their sleeves. they will probably have fun bricking boxes left and right, they are already making the 360 call home before you boot up now, and it takes a substantial amount of time to boot up if it cant call home(update checks), otherwise its quite quick with no connection expected or if you just let it.
im thinking they will go back to the original plan of calling home every 24 hours, and you will be crippled if you dont comply. they may even do it to the 360, and youll get all kinds of nag screens and the games wont be as good unless you get gold and updates/patches, they just did it to 'the last of us' in our region, censoring the gore completely out without warning if they can do that, imagine what they could do to punish the naysayers (idk about ps3 version).
the first hack i expect will be a dongle for the kinect, so people can still boot without a kinect. i think it will be a big hit. also i think the kinect might actually create a way in for further hacks as it is part of the boot process it might be able to communicate more than just a boot check idk i wish i had the brain for this id be the first to rip one apart and start poking it.

Unless they change the name Im not touching this "WHORE". XBOX-One, Fuck-off.
@CGI
360 didnt beat modders, vanity did. They were unwilling to give up live and go Kai. Its a I want my cake and eat it too situation. People are greedy and unwilling to make scarifce. In this day, you want a modded console you need to be ready kiss legit online play good-bye. Sadly unlike the REAL XBOX-One 360 users were very "Pussy" in this regard. All mods had to give everything. In a nutshell (excuse the crude metaphor) In the old days me just nailing your wife was enough. But now people want to nail your wife in front of you, borrow your lawn mower, come over for dinner and not have you even clue in, let alone bash their skull out their ass with baseball bat. They want to rock a John Redcorn mod. Fuck Dales wife but hes to dumb to clue in kinda mod. Guess what that went bye bye when the major X-linux boys decided to sell-out and work for M$. Before we were fighting crack whores, now we are up against some of the greatest modders and hackers. Fuckin SELLOUTS
i don't know if i'll do liquid cooling as of now. kinda wore that out with the 360 lol. ut we'll see. gotta see it's guts first heheheheee _________________________________________________________

If I get one, the first thing I am going to do is make it easy access to get inside it. Either by modding the case it is in or building a brand new custom case. I want to be able to open it up and blow out the dust to keep everything nice and tidy and allow for proper air cooling. Screw all the special screw drivers and shims to push in tabs and all that shit. I want to just flip a switch and open her up. Imagine if it was that hard to get into your PC case for maintenance.
in the 90's Linus Torvalds released his kernel and ever since its been an awesome replacement to forceware.
i wouls love to see a seperation from xbox or sony software on the hardware, you basically buy the console and use it to play games of your choice, you reinstall the OS and play both xbox and sony games, the architectures are so close this time it might just be possible.
if this world were ideal you could pick up an x1 or ps4 and just re-install linux, then go to gamestop and buy a ps4 or x1 game and it plays. man what a dream project that would be. more than likely it would have to run pc games legally. but it would be a dream machine.
a machine that could play both types of games would outsell both consoles combined, the xstation4 would be the greatest console ever made.
I'm expecting a repeat of the Xbox 360 - little to no major mods for a long time. And once major mods similar to the JTAG are found, they will be difficult and expensive to install like the RGH and JTAG are now.
I doubt you'll ever see anything like the original Xbox again. The return to the x86 architecture might make me eat those words, though. _________________________________________________________
