Your dvd drive has been flashed by m$ as part of the update. As long as you have got a copy of the firmware backed up from when you first flashed it, i'm sure you can re-flash it back. If you do not, then you are screwed i do believe. _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.
Don't even need the full firmware, just the drive key. TBH I thought you could just re-flash it? This was just to deter re-flashing through shops.

I'm sure you can just re-flash it if like you say you have the key.
Did they change the firmware so that you could not extract the key now or did they just move where it was stored? I could just be talking bollox _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.

semi great news, i had it flashed at a store tho, but if i can do it myself, problem is solved.
i dont have any backup of old firmware, since it was done in store, but can i find it, and then flash?
i will offcaurse read guides, if it is possible to do it..
From what I have read, in little detail as I haven't come across this situation yet is that they lock the drive, which means they have moved the key elsewhere, and something else. There was also some talk about the key being in two different spots now, with an identifier string.
Don't know really what to think or say on this one. But it is a needed thing to do as newer games wouldn't boot on the old dash so eventually it would have to been done whether it was through the disk or downloaded update.

Which DVD drive you have? _________________________________________________________
K, I just read around, what the update is flashed it to 02510c, so you have to dump that firmware and re-flash it back to the 74850c with LT firmware.
There is some proper power cycling that has to be done after the dump and erase, so be careful.
What did you plan to use to dump the firmware with? CK3 probe or other means.
