no problem man i really appreciate the help and patience. Like i said im more of a designer than an engineer or anything dealing with hardware. I tried the other night messing around with it but it always discourages me cause it never connects. Before, i used to have just a direct ethernet to a router in my old place and it was easy. Now i have a seperate room for this, it's aggrivating. Is it just best for me to leave out the router that's in my room and just buy a xbox360 wireless adapter for the 360 and connect to my wireless adapter that's on my pc? This is confusing. alright, went to the Linksys forums and asked and got 1 response and I don't even understand what this guy is talking about. Can anyone firgure it out? I'll post it.

you guys think it would be easier to just buy a Xbox360 Adapter, hook it to the back of my 360 and try and get the signla from my wireless adapter from my PC using that? Would that work? This thing is driving me crazies.

1) buy the 100$ wireless adapter and get it over with
2) Change your DNS settings so you make your 360 have a static DNS
I'm not sure how to exactly do it on your router but to log into the linksys router type this in your browser
192.168.1.1 then the username should be admin and the password either blank or admin or something else if you've changed it. Then look around for what that guy suggested and make the 360's DNS static.
