This shows how you make a your cooling system without attaching nothing to your 360

Thats actualy pretty good, cheap, simple and out of the way. Also does not require any modding to xbox.

And they are pretty cheap.
But it cant be so effecient as an intercooler because there is no connection to force the air to come out.

Still is non touching 360 cooler system.

it can even be better then the intercooler because of the fact that your forcing more air out then you would with the intercooler if you have a 12v adaptor hooked up then your set and its forcing way more then the intercooler and it is not huging onto the xbox 360 and blocking airflow as the intercooler does

They can be stronger but they are not touching the console like intercooler. The closer you get to the console better cause that way the air have no change but to get kicked out of the console.

I gonna test it... If can make the fans bigger and stronger than the intercooler they may be better than the intercooler.

Nothing a little tape cant take care of, I would tape the boarder between the fans and console, I even did this when I had an inter cooler to seal the cracks between the two. I figure every little bit helps. I also cut most of the face plate of the intercooler out (the part with holes where air comes out) so there was nothing between intercooler fans and outside.

But ya, a little tape would realy kick up the forced airflow.

The best alternative to the Intercooler is a pair of hamster wheels and hamsters. Also they don't use electricity so it is more friendly to the environment

Thats a good idea... black tape should do the job...

Byt the way how did you cut the plate??? I want to do that too... Which object you used to cut it out?

When I cut it I was not worried about looks as no one would see it and I consider the cooler disposable so it came out sloppy. I did not have any cool tools like a dremel or other cutter so I basically used a hot butter knife. If you do this, be careful to cut around the parts where the fans screws attach to the plastic. Old pic below before I cleaned it up.
The pieces of plastic at top and bottom at fan boarders is where the screws holding the fans in place are, you can see I nearly cut completely through them which would have left the fans loose and falling out. I did notice an increase in airflow when I put my hand behind the xbox after this.
Also it is much easier to check the status of your fans now that you can see them, Mine finely went bad with one fan stopping all together and one moving at half speed. Would not have known this if I could not see the fans. At that point they are just restricting the xbox stock fans and make it harder for the hot air to get out. Anyone that has an inter-cooler, keep a close eye on the 3 fans and make sure they are all working properly every once in a while with a visual check, don't think if you put your hand back there and feel air moving that everything is A-OK.

I do not currently use an inter-cooler, I actually took the top part of the xbox off like the pic below, I run it like this and it stays nice and cool, the only difference is I have lifted the disc drive up and rotated it 90 degrees counter clockwise and it sits on top of the white cooling shroud, this gets it off the very hot GPU heat sink and also opens both heat sinks to open air, the standard fans still pull air over and through the heat sinks but I also have the option of having a small desk fan blowing down on the xbox keeping the heat sinks very cool.

It helps in cooling in one more way as well, I can easily dust the heat sinks and keep them free of dust and debrie, so air can flow over and through them freely, when I took it apart initialy, the heat sink was caked up and probobly cut air flow down by 50% or more, see last pic. We live in the valley, we get alot of dust in the air from the terrain here.
