Well its been 11 months now since I've bought this new xbox I have right now. My old xbox got RROD after 11 months. Well guess what, now my new xbox is acting up.
Yesterday night my friend came over and we played soul calibur 4 for about an hour. Then we switched to halo 2. While he was making a elite the game froze, so I restarted as usual. Well we got to this screen about 5 more times and they froze everytime. Then when I turned it on next time the RROD showed up. I then decided to let it sit there for a while. After 20 minutes we tried it again and it seemed to work fine, except it froze half way into a slayer match. I decided to let it sit until today to see if it would fix itself.
So I tried it again this morning. I let it sit the dashboard for an hour and it didn't freeze so I thought it was ok. I put in GRID and started to play that. About 5 minutes into the game it froze with a small graphical error. Turned it off and turned it back on. This time the xbox froze at the xbox logo spinning up to the top of the screen but the controller synced. Let it sit for a while and tried again, and froze about 5 minutes into GRID again.
So next time I tried it I played and arcade game. I was about to play this for 30 minutes and it never froze. I decided to play halo 2 and guess what, it froze again sitting in the matchmaking menu. So it seems like my xbox only freezes when it plays games. I really don't want to have to buy another xbox, my other friends are still on their first xbox after 2 years. _________________________________________________________
I'm guessing your out of warranty or have opened your console. It could be overheating. Have you tried dusting it out or without the top of the case on (leave the fan shroud on though) Other than that I dunno, any cooling mods or anything you have done? _________________________________________________________
Well its RROD tonight so I'd say its done for. _________________________________________________________

I am pretty sure is overheating... A syntome of overheating is game crash or forzen.
I recomend you to not play it for some hours, put the console in open zone not inside a tv box or something. Then i recomend you to install a cooler system.
I'll most likely sell this one on ebay and buy a new arcade once jaspers start getting on the shelves (Jaspers are going to be great). _________________________________________________________

Irish I'm going to try that tonight actually. I'm going to order another X-clamp fix and the xecuter fix off the internet tonight. I'll put in the x-clamp fix I already have tonight to see if I can get it running until that those get here. I'm hopening I'll at least be able to get this one to work for a few more months until jaspers are on store shelves. If it happens to continue working after that I'll flash it and use it to play back up games.
