I dunno then, because i remember a guy on the xbox.com forums a few months ago had bought 4 RROD consoles off ebay for his friends (he was going to send them all in to get fixed). When he sent them in they wouldn't fix them because he bought them off ebay. _________________________________________________________

Well the deal is my xbox WONT open up while its vertical, I bought it off ebay and I doubt I have a warranty. Some people were talking about how you can remove the front plate and what ever.. clean a rubber band blah blah.
I would like to try and fix it myself but I cant unless I get a step by step or something from one of you people _________________________________________________________

Ya its a youtube video. Although I wouldn't advise you to use a screwdriver like he does in the video, you could slip and break the xbox. _________________________________________________________

That sounds like a pretty interesting idea.. do you personally have a custom 360 case. If you do you should post a picture.
Or can you recommend a good website to purchase a case from? _________________________________________________________

The only place i got mine from was www.llamma.com prices are more reasonable then other sites but i dont pay for shipping cus im only about 10mins away from the store lmao. _________________________________________________________ The one the only Scarface!!
Actually with my 360 I bought off ebay it was not recognizing wireless controllers. The manufacture date is 9-17-07 so it is still under standard one year warranty. I then called Microsoft and told them the situation and gave them the serial number. They told me the 360 was registered to someone from Canada which is the guy I bought it from. I then explained to the Microsoft Rep that I bought it off ebay and he said okay well lets get it switched over to your name and get it repaired. It was simple and hassle free. Microsoft doesn't care if you bought it off the back of a truck. And if the 360 is less then a year old call Microsoft and they will fix it for free. _________________________________________________________
