Crap, I have an old version of Microsoft XP Media Center. You need the 2005 version. Man and you can't get it anywhere but on Ebay.
As soon as I have MS media center 2005 running on on of my systems I'll give it a go. _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!

Have you tried just a plain-flavored usb mouse? Anything that doesn't require drivers to be installed should conceivably work on a 360 as long as there's a program that supports it, right?
And since internet explorer supports mouses, I'm thinking it could work...

If you have any webpage building experience, try making a very simple page with an address that can load in your app. I know Geocities has a free page builder that's simple and easy to use.
Just put one link on the page, and see if that's the default selection. If that works, then we can try making that link to a file and see if we can download something to the Xbox...

You know, to be honest with you, dude, I'm not even entirely sure how you're doing all this...
I didn't even think to just have the download link entered right in the page. The only thing I can think of that would cause that not to work is if the 360 is coded to be unreceptive to online sources other than authorized servers, such as Live.
I guess the next step would be to figure out what kind of things can be downloaded. Like, if you enter the URL for a .jpg file, does it load the picture? If so, how about a .gif, and so on. WMV, WMA, whatever you can find a valid link to, I'd suggest giving it a shot. Once we figure out what we have to work with, maybe we can use that to get somwhere with all this.
By the way, if you post instructions to get to where you're at now, I'll be more than happy to help in doing some of the work. So far you've kinda lost me...

Check out the news I just posted, another guy has coded a MCE Plugin to allow you to browse websites, can't enter text, but you can go around the sites and click on the links. Somewhat better than what you got here, only if you could enter text. _________________________________________________________
