Well I have decided to build custom cooling solutions for the xbox 360. I look at it and it is not designed as well as a computer case. There are a lot of limiting factors. Plus with all these solder issues, it seem imperative to build something from the ground up.

A little background on my prior experience setting up cooling solutions. I've been building/modding computer cases for awhile. I will pick up a case, on the cheap. Go over every aspect of it, slap in all the components, run cpu/gpu intensive apps, and take temperatures at various points of the board, case, hdds, and such. Then from there will draw up schematics for possible solutions, and enhancements to the cooling process.

I'm going to be working on a standard, wont void my warranty edition. A intermediate solution, where you are adding fans in strategic places in the 360 interior, and last but least the ultimate solution, where you will have custom heat sinks-fans-cowls the whole works. I plan on having a few for each while I'm in the testing stages.

Now this is where my Hq network will help me out. I don't envision this being ready to ship off for review for a few months. But once it is ready I will be relying on registered members of Hq network. If you belong to the network, and have a 360 you are eligible.

But with anything there are a few conditions. I am after feedback, and reviews of the models I send out. So if you would like to help me out, you will have to at least be active in the review section's of the site. Game reviews, hardware reviews, so on so forth.

So I will require at least 4 good reviews. I'm after the most informative, in depth reviews. Your going to be reviewing a product for me, and I don't want it to be bleak and non informative. I thought I would give back to the community that offers so much. So you guys have a chance of getting in on something before I even ponder selling it.

Once I do get these solutions down, every Hq member will only pay for the parts, and shipping. I will only look to break even with Hq members. But you will have to be active, no joining just to get a discount.

So here are all the rules to be considered for the testing of my products.

1. Actively involved in the Hq network.
2. Have a 360, and supply proof.
3. Have informative reviews, it can be hardware - games - guides.
4. Have been a member of Hq for more then 2 months, with over 100
post's in the forums.

Now you will be able to keep what I send out, and if I make any adjustments to the products, I will send the replacement parts to the testers.

People crack me up, id jump on this opportunity like a grenade. Free stuff always interest me. What I offer is free, for the small fee of a review. I'll be taking measurements soon, and sending off for water blocks. I have used a few companies in the past, and know how to draw schematics up for production parts. When I say I made custom cooling solutions, I wasn't joking, I hope I get some type of response from all of you, or I'll just find another site to help me out. Theres no strings attached to this, just fit the requirements and, you will be added to the list. I will need testers badly, there are a few admins that will automatically get to be in on the testing, but I'm nice enough to extend this to the whole community.

Well Endless,

You are absolutely right! What you're offering is not only a great way to unify members and boost site awareness but, it's a flippin' SERVICE to the members and eventually all 360 owners out there that wish to perform preventive measures for their investment that will also enhance the unit's performance.
Your endeavor is a good one no...a great one. And I advise ALL members that meet the requirements to jump on this bandwagon of an opportunity while the window is open!
I believe your solutions will get serious looks from some big players in the future. It seems that almost ALL console makers encounter overheating issues during development and even during early shipments.
Thanks for looking out for us HQ members, your loyalty is boundless. I just hope that members that fit your prerequisites will flock to this and not make you resort to going to another site. It will be a cryin' shame if HQ members don't represent.

'Wuulfe

No worries, if its something the community distrusts, or has no interest in. Thats fine, I appreciate it though Randwuulfe. I have some old friends that will test it out for me. I'll remember you though. Glad to see you back on the forums.

Hey man, This looks to be quite an interesting project that you have going, I haven't had a chance to reply to it quite yet, as I'm sure many other members have been busy also. I'd give it a day or two before worrying too much over it. We have a lot of community members help beta testing the AID and SID tools so I'm sure we can find some to help test hardware. It's a bit different with hardware as it requires a bit more knowledge of how things such as this works, you may need to explain a bit more about what you are intending to create, sounds like a watercooling system, I personally have never had any dealings with a system like that and would be a bit afraid to put it into my 360. I would be more willing to try an air or outside of case cooling system if possible. I'm sure you understand where people would be a bit cautious.

However if people would like a chance they definitely should hop all over this as well as I intend to, I have a launch system that I have already opened up and I can use it for testing whatever you come up with without a problem. I will definitely be writing a review as soon as the product is available to me.

There are 3 versions, one that fits on the outside, and doesn't void any warranties. Second one is a set of fans placed inside the case, with a separate power cable. I don't want to draw power off the board, due to the demands the power is already under. 3rd will be some type of water cooling unit. Custom blocks, for the cpu/gpu/heatsinks. I'm still in the development stages.

I've talked to the manufacture that I used previously and they are awaiting my schematics.
