Hi all,

If you know me very well you would already know that im normally into doing up cars and adding turbos, xboxes and tv screens to them for a hobby etc etc.. lol

Well Ive finally had my fill on car mods etc and have been looking for a new hobby to keep myself busy. This is where RC Helicopters come in.. hehe

Ive gone out and bought a very basic electric helicopter so i can learn to fly without it costing the earth.. The basic chopper i bought was the SPYHAWK chopper..

Heres a link:
http://www.ebay.com/SPYHAWK

Anyway, now that ive got the basics down (which i already knew anyway) im keen to start investing a little more time and money on a medium range chopper (electric still).. Smile

The RC Heli im looking into is the TREX 450SE which is all anodised metal instead of carbon fibre/plastic..

any comments? Do we have any guys that know their RC Heli stuff???

Heres a link to the TREX 450SE package and kit:
http://www.ebay.com/TREX450SE

Im still saving so it will be quite sometime especially since i dont have much work on as always..

Looking for a RC Heli/Plane Simulator..
Go no further then ClearView.Ive looked and looked.. Nothing compares..
ClearView is a Kick Ass RC HeliCopter/Plane Simulator

Check it out by visiting the links below.
You can trial a few planes and helicopters in the demo.

Also, If you have a Radio Control Handset which supports the TRAINING cable then you are laughing.. You can basically learn to fly using the real RC Controller on your pc.

ClearView RC Flight Sim:

Hope this has been some help to someone..

talk soon guys.

The SpyHawk is fun..
And cheap fun at that.. hehehhe

Its not alot of money and the parts are mighty cheap when you crash like i have several time.. lol

anyway, value for money especially for a beginner pilot.

Another thing.

The SPYHAWK comes with the radio controller and everything else apart from the batteries needed for the radio controller.. The battery charger can also be used to power the hand unit though.

The best feature of the SPYHAWK package is this:
- Its 100% compatible as a joystick on your pc using rc simulators

A good way to train up on your flying before you crash that RC Heli that you love so much on the first flight..

I've not got any flying machines but I to have a T-MAXX that I have some fun with. My brother in law is big into the planes and has one Heli. But there is a guy that goes to the local RC air-field and that guy can do unbelievable things. He use to do some Pro competition I think. Heck he can whip that thing up in the air like it is second nature flip it upside down come back down and hover inches off of the ground, still upside down. And also does about any trick you can think of. Its fun to go and watch those guys at the air-field in the summer.

Yup, that sounds like me in about 12 months or longer.
Ive been dedicating a few hrs of a weekend to fly and do tricks in my heli..

Ive got several smaller ones now too so ive got plenty to train on..
I dont and never need training gear for them either as i put in a few hrs on the RC Heli simulators first..

anyway, just thought id through out this topic as this is my new hobby apart from doing up cars all the time which costs 10x more.. lol
