hey people, i recently bought a mod360 chip for hitachi drive and then realised there are 4 different versions of that drive. That woudnt have been a problem but the only way as far as i can see to tell which version you have is by the numbers ont the stickers on the top of the drive. since i tore off all the stickers and polished the drive so it looked good through the hole in the side of the case i can no longer tell which version it is.
Any ideas on any other way to find out which version i have?

The only way i can think of is maybe by backing up the original firmware of the xbox 360 dvdrom drive to your pc..
Then you can use tools to check it out further from there..
Ill keep hunting to see if i can find any other way to identify..
Also, Which modchip are you installing?? Have you got links..

good call on the backing up the firmware idea though i never thought of that, ill give it a try
