Me and external hardrives... we are having issues again lol
This time it was my 1tb Verbatim External hardrive which has my xk3y games and movies and loads of other stuff.
So I was adding my lastest rip, the old Simpsons game for x360, so I unmount it and remove the usb cable when I plug it in to my xk3y it wasn't recognized...
I tried rebooting and all but the harddrive was not even mounting on the computor itself.
With Windows it says there problem with controller so the hardware cant be installed bla bla bla.
In linux with the terminal I checked the log and there was insufficient data transmission for the pc to identify the controller.
Usually this crap happens with a defective cable, but my cable worked on a different HDD and I went to Staples where they tested my HDD with a different USB cable the PC was not mounting it.
Fuck, probably the USB controller got damage or something, I can hear the hard drive working fine plus there was no crash at all, I didn't move it.
I am going to open it, test it on my desktop and if working I will put in a different external drive box _________________________________________________________

You figure it out yet?
I had lost a drive before with 500Gb of stuff some years ago (I felt horrible)
However I didn't throw it to the garbage so now I was able to use it's enclosure. I was right the disk was fine, only the usb controller got fried.
I put it on the old silver enclosure and now it's working
PS: I dont like the silver box, I am thinking in painting it
