From those two I would definitely go with the Samsung much better contrast ratio, , the response is better too, don't see much of a reason to go with the sharp other than being able to actually see it first. _________________________________________________________

I would say neither. DLP is the way to go for games.

LCOS if you've got the duckets, cross between DLP and LCD, it's expensive as a mudatrucker... _________________________________________________________ Xbox V1.3

Hey guys,
I purchased a Rear Projection Big Screen Pioneer TV about three years ago from Costco. If anyone here shops at Costco you will know that they have the greatest return policy in the universe. Since purchasing the big screen I have returned it 4 times, once for a plasma, once for LCD, and finally twice for DLP. Plasma sux, I had a pioneer HD plasma (42") which is supposed to be the cream of the crop. I had HDTV through Directv and it still looked half-ass, not to mention they have more glare then any of the three technologies due to the fact they have a glass face.
I moved on to LCD cause everyone talked about how fantastic it was, for about $1000 more then DLP, I could not see the difference, and I am a video/audio afficionado.
I moved to DLP and was thrilled, the only reason I traded up is cause I wanted bigger. I now own a 62" DLP that I will not trade until the next astonishing improvement in technology. No burn in, no refresh issues, and the picture is to die for.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, do not buy a plasma unless it is cheap as hell, at least 50", and is in a basement where you can control all ambient light.
Another thing nobody seems to talk about much in here is the 6500 kelvin light. It is amazing what the correct ambient light placed behind your set can do to you picture quality. Available for $40 give or take, it is an amazing addition to your digital playground.
The only other thing I recommend, if you have room, is a HDTV projector. I built my own 118" screen and run an infocus X3 in my basement hooked up to my Xbox and every time I turn it on I giggle, not only cause it looks amazing, but cause the entire setup minus labor only cost me $1000....
i was thinkin about an hd projector not for my room but for like the basement to have tournies in. that would be sick. for now im gettin the 32 inch samsung _________________________________________________________ XBOX
