First of hello everyone I am a new member and am happy to join
I am posting in regards of the lack of content on Xbox Live as have other gamers. I have read the post by Major Nelson on why the lack of content and understand the situation. My issue is, i have realized that Microsoft can take a serious lead against the competition with Xlive but sadly they dont and I would love to know why.
The way I see it, if Microsoft got together with developers that presented a playable demo of a game at E3 they should aim to release that demo to all Xbox live gold members, wow simple marketing. If I was not a gold member I'd jump on the band wagon a.s.a.p. I do see there strategic approach against Sony clearly, launch the hardware a year before and then just around PS3 launch break out the killer apps, excellent strategy. But why just that? why not keep the gamers happy I mean there is an influx or trailer downloads games and movies lol honestly I can get trailers on my PC. Secondly how awsome would it be for the stupid region lock to be lifted, what is the point of it if I try an import demo means I may be excited about it and eagerly await it's presence on US shores. If I want it that bad and have the money then I buy an import 360 also. iI's a Win Win situation for them. I think readers understand my point here. I really do hope that Microsoft takes full advantage of Xbox Live for the 360 so far the majority of the Demos I've tried I have purchased. I see Xlive demos as the new form of marketing in the industry to keep current and future systems owners totally excited.
I would love to hear other gamers thoughts on this

Hi moose, thanks for joining us and stating your opinions. I feel the same way as you as far as the demos go, if there is a game coming out, within 2 weeks of it's release there should be a demo on live, within being 2 weeks before, or on the week of release, no reason should they have to wait until after the game is released in order to make a demo, they can easily package the first level or two, and maybe a multiplayer map together and make that a demo, then comes a bit of testing which I'm sure if they asked plenty of gamers would love to do. That's all I ask for, a tutorial level + another real level, then a multiplayer map or two to see how that works. That would be well enough for most any demo out there. And the users would see what they are getting. _________________________________________________________

Well when/if they start puttin XB games on the market for download XBL will have that which is something Sony wont (if they do they are copyin Microsoft so hardcore).... XBL is good for me, I wouldnt mind seeing some specials on holiday events and stuff like that (buy1 get 1 free or something) I wouldnt mind seeing movies up for grabs on the good ol XLB either, maybe Microsoft can make a deal with the big companies to get that acomplished....
