hello all. i'm probably older than most everyone in here. at 42 yrs old i've been gaming since atari. we got our son a 360 slim 2 x-masses ago. about a month ago i bought a 2nd gen 360 for $70 at value villiage. got it home and found rrd.
a coworker gave me a 1st gen 360 that someone tried the xclamp mod and stripped the holes out as well as scratching the crap out of the mother board.
so I took the cpu heatsink out of his and put it on my gpu. i now have 12v going to my fans, my disc drive is mounted to the top, i cut a hole out directly over the heatsinks. today after 4 hrs of gameplay the heatsinks are cold to the touch.
is there suck a thing as too cold??

well if its running great then it should be good for awhile dont think it will last for ever though like a lot want to say. good to use tell it goes bad completely but other then that i would not invest money into it. save the money that you would invest and buy a new one that is what i tell everyone when i fix them usually they take that advice and usually people get 3months to 3+ more years out of the console some fixes work better for them then others.
So if its running great leave it and not throw any more money into it if you know what i mean.
