if you have the infectus website i would send them a email asking them if there downgrade dashboard addon for the infectus chip works ill see if i can find there site and email to that be interesting in what they actually say.

they need to be more clear on it though on the sites that sell them as if that is true then they really no use for them unless your console is jtagable but this would be cool if it would work but im thinking just like legendary said that its not going to do what we are all thinking ha.

Is there a way to use a jtag system to retrieve it off another motherboard?
And Infectus is going to tell me what ever i want to hear to sell me there product , this is why i posted this to see if it was useable or not.
So I will either just let it sit , or sell it, or just use it for parts , I didnt pay much for it and not going to put alot of money in somthing that is just a glorified dvd player.
Also , on the tutorial that this was about , should be edited to a certian dashboard,so when people google it or what not, that they just dont think its possible to do with just any 360.
That is why I also posted this, to see if I was doing something wrong from the tutorial

Not a problem, yea they probably would do that to sell there product and if it was true it blow up all over the internet thats for sure like the jailbreak did for the ps3.
To answer your one question you were able to do that kinda for the xbox 1 but 360 is out of the question. I would either use for parts or sell or wait to see for another exploit. _________________________________________________________ The one the only Scarface!!

WOW see how simple SCARFACE makes this so easy....
so do we need to change the tutorial about retrieving the key on this site ?
like i said either going to keep it for parts just the dvd drive for now, and keep the motherboard and rest of it incase something comes up and we find a way to extract the key from the motherboard or whatever we need to resolve this problem.
Picked up another xbox 360 yesterday needs a laser on a lite-on drive and picking up 2 more today to fix...and sell

Well its still good to leave just redo the tutorial to make it were people dont get confused as it is still good useful info for people with older dashes.
Lite-on Drive Bad laser well if it is still lite-up on the laser part a pot tweak might be in order to make the drive read again all you need is a ohm meter which is about $10.00 I have done a couple lite-on drives and seems 4.00-4.30 i been getting them to life again at so that might help yea but a new laser like $5-10 anyways so up to you on what you want to do on that route.

yes just make a change that is all i suggested on the tutorial and, Yes i seen and read everything. But the dvd drive is in good working shape so i will probably just use that is what i thought i mentioned.
what should both pots read on the lite- on? I will look for tut, 4.00 to 4.30 on laser what about on the spindle pot? xbox should be on or off when adjusting the pot?
it seems like its out of sinc the spindles spinds then the laser lights after is spins

Your only going to tweak one pot the other is for cd reads and dvd reads i think it was were we are just tweaking the one so that it can read games.
Here is a pick of the benq/Lite-on laser you are only tweaking the left side if you have the laser looking this way at you.
