I am considering getting a jtag 360 soon, been looking round and most of them are crap xenon ones that have been 'fixed' after rrod. Some haven't but who knows how long they will last.
Anyway, been looking around and have found the following. Bit expensive i know, but i'd rather fork out £100 more on a new one that has less chance of packing in soon.
Whats the verdict, should i go for one of these or go for a second hand that has an older motherboard model?

I do not recommend one with a Xenon motherboard, If you already have a 360 why not going to a second handed.
Did you check out Ebay? That's where I got all my 360s.
100£ is like 120€ at the moment... Thats really cheap if it is new and comes with everything. _________________________________________________________

Well i have seen xenon's going for about £140-£150 unmodded. The shops Falcon's are £250 and the Jaspers are £260 i think and they are new and have the jtag performed on them already.
Ebay only sell jtag possible consoles as ebay remove them otherwise. Think i may bite the bullet and buy one from the shop but i might come to my senses by the time i get the money. _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.

Really? I love my Xenon Xbox (XBR8955) I think its more easy to mod a Xenon than any other motherboard, just get the Xecuter RROD Fix, and remove the XClamps and you should be good to go. _________________________________________________________

I recomend if you have a working Xenon to sell it, I had one for many time with X-Clamp the problem is that the console is forced to work with X-clamp but still gets hot so sonner or later it will stop working. _________________________________________________________

That is what i was thinking about the xenon's. Someone is selling one for £150 all done, but it's a xenon. He has a site with a few to sell. He says the seals are intact when he receives them but that doesn't mean they didn't have rrod.
I might just spend the £260 on a new Jasper that has already had the jtag done to it, once FreeStyle Dash 2.0 is up and running (will be able to do what xbmc does i believe???) it will be an investment. _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.

personally that one for 260 looks real tasty to me, and the fact its new and comes pre jtagged, and they also remove the fuse (which is real tricky to remove yourself and have read removing it wrong can mess up your box) sounds sweet to me. It is pricey but ive seen prices higher. If your confident performing jtag yourself, id hunt around play.com a lot of people sometimes dont realise what theyve got, and have a jtaggable, i saw one going for £70 quid boxed unuserd never been online, falcon going a few months ago. and it had the right dashboard.

I have been running a Xenon for 4 years now and no problem whats so ever? I am sure as long as you are using the new Xenon wiring diagram you will be fine. (Only two 330Ohm, and a jumper). I removed the XClamps and used the RROD fix and never have I had a problem. The new diagram solves the error E79 and others. _________________________________________________________

I know not all xenons will get rrod, but m$ gave them about a 30% fail rate?? If that was based on the number of consoles they fixed, then the figure is higher than that.
Jtagged.com said they would take a £30 deposit and they would hold one for me until September until i can pay the full amount, so i might just do that. I see on another website the exact same deal for £399, so £260 ain't that bad considering what you get, i'd be hard pushed to find another one like that elsewhere. _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.
