if you are just going to get it flashed before you can try craigslist i would say and might find someone close to you. Connectivity kit is about $30-40 average price + shipping.
You could also use your Xbox 360 that has red ring on you to power your drive to flash it then stick it into the working 360 same with pulling the key also _________________________________________________________ The one the only Scarface!!

as neither of the drives is a lite-on you dont really need a kit, just a sata cable. And your rrod 360 with the benq right? this may not be fried.you said you did an xclamp fix and it worked for an hour b4 it died again, this sounds like a cold or broken solder point under one of the chips. You can get a secondary error code while it is flashing rrod by holding down the sync button and pressing the eject button causing either 1,2,3,or 4 lights to flash.if 1 light flashes then your first number is 1, 2 lights is 2, 3 lights is 3, 4 lights is a 0. continue holding down the sync button and press eject again for your second number, then 2 more times for your 3rd and 4th numbers. for example if i hold sync on this e 74 while it is flashing rrod and press eject it flashes 4 red lights,press eject again and 4 red lights,press eject again and 4 red lights, and press eject again and 2 red lights, my secondary error code is 0002, and now I have a better idea of what the problem is ( cold solder joint under the cpu or the way the cpu is powered) get a secondary error code and you may b able to fix it easy, could be something stupid like thermal compound. _________________________________________________________ Halo LE Xbox

if it is a cold solder joint like it sounds you can try an oven relow. This method is a last resort but has worked wonders for many people.I've even read posts of 360s working better after being cooked at 450 for a few minutes.seriously, one guy said it worked way better than the day he got it, loaded games faster, and ran quieter. You just have to make sure you insulate all the important components really well, meaning pretty much everything but the chips ur gonna reflow.whats the worst that could happen? break a broken 360? b4 u try that though post back with your secondary code-like i said it may b something simple _________________________________________________________ Halo LE Xbox

Thats what i recommend if not wanting to buy a kit is using the Xbox 360 that is 3rod and using that to power the samsung drive to pull the key off it and then using it to flash /spoof the benq with the same key. Pretty simple stuff. Why ask about using your 3rod xbox to power the drive then the non rod xbox is simple people think ms has a detection method to catch that the dvd drive is not plugged in and sends a msg to ms when on xbox live then flaggs you for next banning better safe then sorry, thats why we use your 3rod xbox that way the other one does not know it has not been taken out. Just from what people say this best method to do if you do not have a connectivity kit.
Stuff Needed.
Sata Cable
3rod Xbox 360
Computer with a sata Connection
Jungle Flasher 1.73
In your Case i dont know what OS you run but make sure that you install the io ports and that correctly
In your case you would want the Benq LT 1.1 Firmware as this is the drive we will be spoofing.
How to do it. Samsung Has 2 drives here is the layout for both. And if if has not been flashed then follow these if so proceed to already flashed below these.
Not Flashed Instructions.
1. Load Samsung Drive power with the 3rod xbox
2. Turn on jungle flasher 1.73
3. For MS-25 Drive click MTK Flash 32 and check the right i/o port is selected it should show your drive that you have in drive properties then click intro/device id.
4. Drive should now Be in Vendor Mode Click Read
5. Save the Key I like saving it by Typing The Serial Number of The 360 it came from that way you for sure know that is the key for that 360.
For MS-28
1. Power with the 3rod Xbox
2. Load Jungle Flasher 1.73
3. Go to MTK Flash 32 Make sure the right I/O Port Is selected and your drive shows up. Click Sammy Unlock and click Yes Drive is now in Vendor mode Click Read and Save the key .
Now if you going to want to flash the samsung to you will need to get the samsung f/w 1.61 guessing right now it is not safe for xbox live. But if you want the info on flashing that too just let me know. Ok now that you have the Samsung Drive Key we are now going to spoof flash your benq.
1. Have the Benq powered by the 3rod box
2. Now if the Drive has been flashed before you need to do the Half Tray open Trick so eject the drive unplug the 360 push the dvd drive tray half way back in and then plug the power back on then proceed to the following.
3. Load Jungleflasher make sure its 1.73 to do the LT f/w it supports it
4. Go to MTK Flash 32 Click Intro/Device ID Drive should be in vendor mode now If you want to save that key off this drive which i would to anyways even thow the xbox 360 is red ring you can still sell it with the key. Click read and save other wise continue to step 6.
5. If you drive has not been flashed Power the drive with the 3rod xbox then load up jungle flasher hit mtk flash 32 then Benq Unlock and this will put the drive in vendor mode save the key if you like or continue to step6.
Flashing the key to benq that is your Samsung Key. (Spoofing)
6. Go to Firmware Tool 32 on Jungle Flasher
7. Open Source Firmware (The Samsung Key)
8. Open Target Firmware ( The Benq LT 1.1 Hacked F/W)
9. Click Spoof Source to Target. in the bottom there on the target f/w it should show spoofed as your samsung MS-25 or MS-28
10. Click on MTK Flash 32 Verify that the drive is still in vendor mode and Flash Chip Properties should be like this.
Vendor ID: 0xC2
Device ID: 0x11
Name: MXIC(MX25L2005)
Type: Serial Flash with Status 0x73
If all this is good Click Write.
11. Wait for the write proceed to be done it will say Write Verified OK.
12. Click outro ata reset and hook the benq up to your Samsung Xbox and you should be good to go.
