Hi,
I looking for similar problem but no luck or used wrong tags to find this.
1st what happen:
I bought Xbox360 with rrod (as seller said), but after i opened it I thougt its better to check it out, before I do heat gun fix. I was really suprised it worked without problems. I even run backup of Tekken6. My happines was really short. Next day (after closed it back) i saw rrod.
Fix:
As I did before with other console, I made heat gun fix. And now console start without problems. (something is f*ed up with leds 2 and 4 - not working, and they r good I check them out)
Problem:
After fix DVD drive wont read any DVD disc :/ Also tried to take other drive but still nothing. I think its mainboard problem, some bad connections maybe.
I don't know for shure but few capacitors near GPU are little popuped. Are they connected do drive somehow?
Where to look for problem first?
Waiting for advice.

OK problem solved. Little resistor detach on SATA line ^^ I solder it back and all works fine
