Is this only for playing backups on live as opposed to originals?? Hey endless, your playing with your 78fk online, because i just modded mine 2 days ago and i was kind of reluctant to do so but i did anyways. Geez, now i have both my Hitachi 47d and my 78fk modded. Looks like i'll be offline for a minute.. _________________________________________________________ Xbox V1.3

I got luck, but if you have modified firmware your gone, don't matter what you do if they scan and see it, you will get banned.

Yeah, anyway, apparently it doesn't matter what you are playing (I was playing my original copy of Halo 2, had nothing to do with the beta) they are officially banning people. A little more detail on what happened to me: In the middle of a game in matchmaking I experienced what I usually call a "lag out", it showed that I was the only person left in the game. I went upstairs and rebooted all of my stuff (router, modem, etc) numerous times with no luck (apparently when they shut me down it freaked all my stuff out becuase I had no internet until this morning, I assumed it was the cable companies fault).
I tried again tonight and all of my connections worked out just fine but still no xbox live. After using the xboxes test I clicked on "more info" by the xbox live section, they hit the "y" button to see the "status codes" and sure enough there was the "ban" code: Z: 8015-190D. This (according to Bungies site) means that microsoft has officially shut down my console from xbox live forever... If anyone figures out a way around let me know.. good luck

Don't know, I have been reading about some people who are modded but still not banned yet. I am not sure how M$ is scanning systems for mods.

has anyone with a mod chip been banned? Is it just soft mods that have been banned? i realize that ms looks for the hacked firmware, but iv noticed that alot of modchips have a dual boot feature and i was wondering if this feature has been effective or not. _________________________________________________________ XBOX360

Would I get banned using an original game even with having the NME installed. I read on the site that you wouldn't but of course they would say that
