I want to sell my xbox 360 to replace it with xbox 360 elite! However I already have some gears of war maps and some arcade games loaded on it. My question is; does anyone know how I can backup my 20gig hard drive onto the 120gig on the elite? or is my gametag all I need to have to download the files again?? and can I format the 20 gig drive after the backup?

well you proply wont have the games on the 120GB but when you redownload them they should be free since you already paid through that account and the gears of war maps that you just recover your gamertag and it will download to your HDD and formating never did it _________________________________________________________ xbox AID 4.10 80GB WD

i think the 360 elite brings a data transfer cable to transfer the info from the 20gb to the 120gb hdd.
now as data . i dont know exactly which data it is.
im talking about media , game saves , account info, etc _________________________________________________________ HQ Lord Nikon 1b4

You don't get a data transfer cable in the box, you have to order one, search the news for data transfer and you will come across my newslink with the required info to get one.
You can transfer the contents of your 20 gig over once, it formats your 20 gig once it transfers. The xbla games and media are a different story. They transfer over, but you have to connect to xbl everytime you want to play/view it. You can just d/l it all again once you get your 120 gig up and going. Just a bit of a hassel having to d/l it all again to have full use of it if you ask me.
