And please don't act like Microsoft is stupid. With 360 MS did not have it own development lab. It's now a few hundred employees and fucking the balls. Yes it does make tons of sense to test at low temps too. You need to find all fault tolerances. By the way, we trouble shoot silicon processors, DSPs and surface mount ram by freezing and high heat as one method, works amazing if you have the skill and is great when repairing PCB's
No need to hop all over 40F when they test at all sorts of degrees of heat. Xbox one has many vents compared to the 360. Xbox one has more open internal space. The freaking assume Soc MS and AMD made is pure genius with all sorts of fault torrences build-in design to defeat any sort of RROD. Don't forget some will fall as do all manufactured products carry some failures. MS will be god's of manufacturing in short time _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!

Sweet! I found the article about the Microsoft Xbox One Labs and man is it a long one. Here's the bit about the 'Meat locker' lol and not I don't know where I got the 40F from, might have been from something else. Anyhow it makes no difference what they were currently set at for temp during the tour, just that they do extreme testing and troubleshooting, hot and icey, like they should.
"Before long, the four gentlemen who architected the Xbox One lock our video producer Ben Harrison in that meat locker -- which is actually a temperature chamber for running the console through a variety of thermal extremes. The chamber is full of hundreds of variations of prototype Xbox hardware -- today, it's set to very cold -- and is vital in determining how the Xbox One stands up to extreme thermal conditions."
