My money is on the PS4. Microsoft may have been too late in calling off their DRM to save their sales. After all of the botched PR statements Microsoft made, a lot of people are going to remember how they wanted to force the DRM down our throats. I'm sure plenty of Xbox fans will still be getting the PS4 because of how Microsoft treated the consumer at E3.
I would also have to give an edge to Sony since the PS3's exclusive lineup has been impressive the last few years. Microsoft definitely was king the first 3-4 year of last generation, but once Halo and Gears starting getting old, nothing new came to fill in the gap. If this trend continues into next generation, Sony will be ahead in exclusives like Microsoft was with the Xbox 360 initially. _________________________________________________________

Actualy numbers tell a different story. The PS3 sold more in the begging but now in most recent years Xbox 360 passed PS3 on sales. Probably because of improved dashboard and new exclusives games.
As for Microsoft, I dont give damn, I just care about the console. If it was about the company I would buy none, special from Sony _________________________________________________________

Like I said.... I truly believe the specs over all are not that far apart to make much of a difference.
I have the kinect for 360. Bought 5 games for it and played 3 times with kids. It sat so long it just collected dust so I put it back in Star Wars box. The kids (aged 13 to 22) always chose Wii over kinect. So thats not a selling point for an extra 100$ for anyone I know. Im betting all the waving around to control everything will get old as well.
I do use Netflix quite a bit and Vudu now and then.... Most or all of the other apps I have never witnessed enough quality or functionality to waste my time with. So unless M$ drastically improves things on the "extra value" end, it wil not effect my $ spent in their direction.
I still plan to buy a PS4 first. I have a game/system addiction, so I will most likely pick up the Xbox One in future after a price drop any how. Im a big fighting game fan, so Ill be upset Killer Instinct is only releasing on Xbox.... But Ill wait just the same.
I think both will make millions or more leaving both winners. Neither are going out of business any time soon!
Just my 2 cents....... But Ill take your 5$ action Hobbs! lol _________________________________________________________ XENIUM ICE 300GIG CUSTOM DVD
The PS3 never sold more than the Xbox 360 because of it's $600 price point at launch. The PS3 was always last in sales in the last generation, with the Wii at the top.
When it comes to big, exclusive, console driving games, the Xbox 360 had the upper hand from ~2006-2009. During this time, Sony had almost no games worth buying the console for, and all of the third party games were better on the Xbox 360. Then sometime around 2010 or 2011, Sony got it's butt into gear and has been putting out quite a few amazing exclusive games.
Meanwhile, the Xbox 360 has grown stagnant. Microsoft is still trying to use Halo, Gears of War, and Call of Duty to sell their console. While all of these games are still selling pretty well, a lot of gamers are getting burnt out on the series. Microsoft needs to come out next generation with some great new exclusives, or they will fall into the same hole that Sony did with the first three years of the PS3. _________________________________________________________

My bet is on the xbox one. I'll save $5 just in case.
I believe in the cloud enhancements for the games, the games that use the true power of the cloud are going to blow our minds. MS is way ahead of Sony in that department, It is going to take many years for Sony to ketchup. This is where most of my excitement comes from.
Quite frankly Sony is just barely going to have an ok cloud storage thing in about a year or less after the PS4 is released, MS has had that for more than a couple of years. Cloud processing is going to take gaming to a higher level and my internet connection is going to be always on for it. I'll gladly pay an extra $100 bucks for the superior networking and thousands of servers plus processing is the cloud. Oh yeah! It's worth it!
Edit: Edit and get a free Kinect to boot. Thank you Microsoft!
Our Kinect is mostly used when the kids are here. I haven't used it much myself because I'm too lazy lol. but it is a great thing especially if you want to get in shape. I haven't even been playing much games lately (not for the lack of them). I've been using many of the apps mostly. I love them and always look for more. Bring them on MS! _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!

The main stream is not going to care about all the negative baloney, that will all pass by the time the consoles are released. In agreement with Kennethk, I do think that the mainstream is going to care about the price. They may not comprehend all the value that extra $100 brings, they may not see how it is totally worth it. Well, pricing may be the telling of which console pulls ahead, but crush? Never. _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!

It may be worth it but the typical consumer may not have it. Tax on $500 here is like an extra $50, sorry but I'd rather take that $50 tax and buy a game with my console. _________________________________________________________ The internet, a place where people expect you to know what they know.

Lucky me, I pay no sales tax. What do I care. I live free or die.
Edir: So you pay an extra $40 for the PS4, you did not mention that. Big deal anyway. You want to the best you pay like the rest. _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!

tweaked you sound rich give me $500 so I can buy a xbox one so we can end this please.
If you would of cared to click on the bundle links the ps4 comes with a game that's $460 and would equal just about $500 including sales tax, The xbox one it would be about $550 and no game. _________________________________________________________ The internet, a place where people expect you to know what they know.
