i have to agree there man. I really loved it, surprising really, because i wasnt even going to buy it.
You should post up your stats here when your done:
Just got the PC version, I am currently downloading the DX11 and High Resolution Patch. Once I get those installed Ill put all settings to MAX and see what this PC can do, Will it rock or cry.
UPDATE>>>>>>
Ok, So installed everything, turned everything on and to max, I was a bit nervous I would get some lag but Had no problem, averaged out at around 61fps and lowest drops were down to about 30fps when things got heavy. I think im ok for BF3

You know what, I think I had Vsync on when playing the crysis2 today, So I might have even got higher than the 60fps.
For those that might not know, Vsync when turned on limits the Frame Rate your card puts out to that of your monitor, Im on an old school CRT monitor that maxes out at 60, So I turn Vsync on, if I did not then there is a chance that the card putting out more than 60 could cause some tearing in the picture, that is when you see a quick line go across the screen like the picture tore.
To be honest, Metro 2033 is the most stressful game for a GPU I have come across, I averaged about 45 or 50 FPS on that. If you can run Metro I think you can run anything out there or anything coming out anytime soon. I do not know if there is a demo.
My PC is running stock with no overclocking at the moment, Though it has been tested and ran rock solid stable at 4.2ghz. I have everything at stock now and no problems.
CPU. i7 950
GPU. A single HIS 6950
Ram. 6GB Mushkin Ram
But ya, I would try to find a demo for Crysis 2 or Metro to see what your PC can handle.
I was looking at a video on youtube with a set up very simular to yours and the guy was running at max setting and was getting great FPS, That was without DX11, I do not know how much more stress that adds, but I think you could handle it just fine. Also you have a better CPU than he has.
HIS INFO>>>>
My Rig with a XFX Radeon HD 5770 playing Crysis 2:
Maxed Settings
V-Sync ON
1280*1024
Framerates:
***NOTE**** With V-Sync on, it caps the framerate at 60 fps
Quick test with all settings maxed out with DX11 and High Resolution Texture Download turned on. Everything maxed except screen res as my old CRT monitor does have its limits as to what it can display.
Recorded with MSI afterburner, I have tried recording with fraps but fraps really sucks resources and drops frame rate, BUT.. MSI afterburner, at least the one I have does not record audio, so I threw in a little Richard Cheese audio, The Lounge King.
UPDATE,.....
This is a quick video of the difference in the details with the High Res Patch downloaded and added to the game.

DX11 looks sick, wish I had a rig capable of running it let alone running DX11 on ultra.
I need a new PC before BF3 lands
Hey mattster,
Yeh mate, i just got my new I7 laptop 3D 1080p (Qosmio X770 3D) ready for battlefield3.. woot. cant' wait. Also, getting it on the 360 no doubt to play with all the guys here. I've heard that the differences will be amazing and it will obviously be worth checking out on the pc if your a bf fan..
