Yeah im going to look this up 2. I am pretty sure they are breaking the law also. I dont understand how they give you pretty much second hand equitment when you bought a brand new console, they shouldnt be able to give you someone elses broken console they repaired this has got to be wrong. They get away with it because they know it would be hard to sue them. I am going to look up the BBB though and see if they can help me cause ths has gone on long enough
What you should do is get the refurb back, and if it works sell on ebay as a working refurb. If it still has RROD sell on ebay as a RROD console. Only sell the AV cables and the power brick with the console, dont sell the HDD. Then go buy a new Aracade console for $279. Go online and buy 2 X-clamp fixes (one for cpu heatink and one for gpu heatsink) which you can buy here-->http://www.x-clamp-fix.com/catalog/product_info.php?info=p5_X-Clamp-Fix-DIY-Kit.html. You then need arctic silver thermal paste and either the tallismoon whisper fans (cheaper, but almost as good, just doesn't have the temp control) or the XCM fans (better but also costs another $25). You then need to take your console apart and add these. The newer consoles will have a different plug on the fan spot than the whisper fans do so you will have to buy a fan with the same plug from best buy for $20. Then you cut the plug off that one and cut the plug off the fans and solder the fan wires to the plug you got off the other fan. Then you have to do the thermal paste and add the screws and your xbox 360 will be almost 100% RROD proof (cant say it wont ever get it but it has a way better chance than using the stock stuff). _________________________________________________________

Thats the thing I really dont think I should have to do all that. They owe me this its not my fault the console died I didnt take it apart and void the warrenty I even bought an extended warrenty from them , I dont think I should have to do all this work when all all I did was buy a faulty console. I dont even play that much I was lucky to get two hours a day in during the week because of my job and my 2 year old daughter. Its wasnt like it was overused or anything
Trust me dude, it is bad that it is that way but thats the only way i could tell you to really make sure it wont come up.
Anyways id do all that anyways, because i like modding consoles _________________________________________________________

I filed a complaint with the BBB and hopefuly this will help, But it probaly wont I mean the emailed me back and said the complaint was forewarded to M$ and they said it could take some time to resolve this matter

its just amazing that you have to go through all this just to get something that you paid for anyway. they act like they are doing you a favor fixing the console when they know it was defective anyway. I wish someone would step in and make them do what is right and recall the console
