I find it hard to believe that no one has done any credible comparisons since just after E3 2005 when PS3 was all ideas and not fact.
I can't find any factual comparisons anywhere that aren't from data that is atleast Pre E3 2006.
As close as the release is now, I'm starting to think there is something that Sony Doesn't want its fans to know until it is too late.
If youve seen the pics of the of the PS3 kiosk, that looks an awful lot like a forced air chamber. with the PS3 counter sunk just a bit to insure maximum air flow thru the system. _________________________________________________________

Personally i dont see why anyone would want to pay so much just for a BLU-RAY drive.. lol
There wont be any decent movies out and it would be much cheaper to buy a standalone blu-ray dvd player..
Personally i feel HD-DVD will end up being the winner anyway.
just my 2 cents
sony suck ass.. They had the market for years and did nothing with it.
Now M$ and XBOX LIVE are kicking ass they try to do something.. my god.

Yellow Dog Linux v5.0 is offical for PS3,,,, Doesn't this mean that PS3 will have tons of emus that can be installed on it. If its written for Linux shouldn't it work or any other Linux game or app for that matter.

Honestly I probably will get a ps3 at some point especialy if you can run linux emus on it. But I will wait for production to get into full swing and let them work the bugs out first. _________________________________________________________

I used to always support Sony in the old days and then came M$/Sega with the dreamcast, xbox1 then 360.. Ive never looked back i must admit.. Just keeps getting better and better the old M$ boxes.. hahahh
Bloody sony on the other hand.. What a joke..
The same machine for years then they bring out the ps2 (which was totally crap in my eyes) with no online gaming apart from add-ons etc.
I cant wait to see their version of LIVE.. The SONY service will be plagued with nothing but problems and you can expect that because SONY dont exactly have expertise on the web.. (well nothing like microsoft).
anyway, im still keen to see what they come up with..
btw.. I heard M$ is working on xbox 360 2 already.. lol Hope Sony have started on their PS4..

Amen brother, in additon i ended up buying the Toshiba HD-A1 HD-DVD player and compared it to a friend of mines Samsung BD-P1000 Blu-Ray player, the HD-DVD quality was alot better and $500 cheaper.. I know this all depends on the tv, connections,etc..etc. but we were both using HDMI cables, that BD player looked like shit compared to the Toshiba..In my opinion Blu-Ray is doomed, i don't want to start a flame war by saying that. I told my buddy a $120 DVD upconverter could do a better job then his $1000 BD player, that really pissed him off.
