Footage of PS4 freezing, apparently after heating up while running, has popped up online. The video comes from a French outlet called Gamekyo on livestream, while they are demonstrating the game Knack. The video of the PS4 overheating was taken at Gamekyo 2013 earlier this month.
Gamekyo : blogs @gamekyoblog
@elkewedi The PS4 was actually placed in a box under the TV. There was heat going out from the box, but the PS4 seemed to be OK.
More hate on the ps4 eh? I'm sure the xbox one would of overheated if kept in a box also as any component will overheat when theres not good airflow. _________________________________________________________ The internet, a place where people expect you to know what they know.

the guy looked like he was touching the console to check heat
the game could have a bug, how many bugs has gta5 had in the last few weeks after release day.
they should have showed more like after the reset if the game bugs out again, if the console protects itself, i wish i could speak french. i think i would have driven that console harder just to see if it does.
the home interface was responsive so im calling bs on this until they show more video. might be microsoft spin to gain more traction back.

Exactly. People here are looking for every little excuse they can to call these consoles crap If it overheated you wouldn't be able to go to the home screen at all. Plus even then I can hardly imagine the amount of times this console has been moved around/demoed. If you're using your console at home and leave it in a good airflowed spot I doubt anything happens.
The Xbox one is more prone to overheating because all people will be doing is buying a $500 Cable box. _________________________________________________________ The internet, a place where people expect you to know what they know.

just read yesterday nz have laws that protect consumers regardless of the manufacturers guides and warranty. if there is not impact damage on a console you cant have it repaired for free or replaced for up to 5 years from date of purchase, same with computers, tv's etc.
keep your receipt and never pay for an extended warranty as they are pointless.
nz consumer guarantees act (cga) is massively powerful, im sure going to invoke my rights.
