I have used loads of video editing software over the years, but I'm looking for some recommendations on which to use these days, yeh, you know, like 2013.. I know gamexx0ver, tms_crazy_taxi, HQ S1mm3 and plenty of our other members edit their videos including me, so can you recommend some programs?
For basic users i recommend:
NCH Video Pad Editor (most of my youtube videos have been edited using that)
Can any of you guys suggest something nicer?? Im running Windows 8.
I am installing CyberLink Power Director today to test that out. _________________________________________________________ HQ Network:

I edit my videos with Sony Vegas Pro (you pretty can do anything with it and it's also easy to use for first timers)
As for the intros in my videos and special effects I use Adobe After Effects (but that's much more hard core) _________________________________________________________

I have several programs but have only learned to use Aftereffects, but thats because I am usually adding CGI or effects rather than straight editing. But it is a power and memory hungry program. May not be the best program for regular video editing but I have it installed an know how to use it so that is what I kind of stick with for now.

here is one of the videos i produced with Cyberlink Power Director.. Has some cool features like animations, text overs, and all the effects you can imagine.. Its pretty memory intensive, but only takes 10 mins to put out my 1080p videos at around 1GB for 10-11minutes.
