I have last years model the Toshiba QOSMIO X770 3D. When it was purchased I upgraded the HDD to a SSD. It was great for over 9 months or so, then BAM, it died. Ok, so i get it replaced under warranty and 3 months later, BAM, dead again. This time a different brand too. Now my pc in under warranty again to install another SSD warranty drive..
Anyone else experiencing these failure rates?? Sure the performance of my pc is great with a SSD drive but i dont like the idea of losing all my data and programs every few months. I hope im just having a bad run with the drives, i really don't want to go back to a SATA drive lol _________________________________________________________ HQ Network:

good luck man, i have had nothing but bad luck with mine.
My first 250GB SSD drive cost me $899.00.. At those sort of prices you'd expect it to compete with the older drives. I mean reliability wise.
Hows the new system running, Im on my old shitty laptop where half the keys dont work and the mouse is screwed.

Haven't had any problems yet with my computer and SSD disk but my computer is only 7 months young. I use one of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820239045 if you're intrested. _________________________________________________________ Just a random 19 year old kid from Sweden, no biggie right? -> HQS1mme.com

Kingston are extremely reliable if you ask me. The brands they are fitting to my pc are cheap crap, thats why im having all these problems i suppose. _________________________________________________________ HQ Network:

What brand of SSD did you have forahobby?
I see nice reviews for Samsung, Corsair, and Kingston SSD. It was my understanding that SSD is supposed to be much more reliable than disc based drives be cause it has no moving parts so less friction and therefor less heat. Heat is the killer of all electronics.
I'll have to check back here before I select my SSD drives for my new PC build. _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!

My SSD is a Kingston SSDNow V+ 100 Series 128GB, I have been running it very hard every day, upload, download video editing, gaming and everything in between for 2 years now, and have not had a single issue with it.
It runs as smooth as it has the day I got it. I have not had a single error of any kind.
