I edited this post instead of making a new one, seemed like a better thing to do..
I'm trying to get an ms28 to spoof as my original liteon 93450c but the only updated fw i have is one that came with the fw pack, i can load it up in jf but i cant for the life of me get the key to change from the generic all F's to my key without changing the original spoof info. Am I trying to do the impossible here, or not doing it right???
I already updated the console to latest ms dash and had it rewrite the drive, but i cant get that fw from the drive anymore (im just not that talented, nor have right tools LOL) so thats why i need to use the stock "blank" fw in the pack. _________________________________________________________

You dont really dump the fw from a Lite-on like on MS28 or Hitachi.
You can only get a dummy.bin that has dvd key
Do you have the DVD key?
Then you prepare a lite-on LT+2.0 with that key and you spoff the MS28 as liteon and flash it with that prepared fw.
I dont really know if the spoff drives still work on the new dash. _________________________________________________________

Yea, I have the key, I just cant figure out how to get JF to let me put it in, I can highlight the key text but i cant change anything. _________________________________________________________

I get error 66 on the screen which i read is fw isnt matching what the dash is looking for..

So I'm guessing that because i spoofed using my old ofw to spoof with, thats whats goin on with it. I cant figure out how to get my key into the new fw to make fw with spoof info for the ms28, would i do that with JF or a different tool? _________________________________________________________

Well I managed to get the updated fw spoofed on the ms28 with my key and the error 66 is none taken care of, now im just left with one more issue to figure out, originals will load as far to tell me the title and show the picture but when i hit play it starts to read and then it kicks back with unrecognized disc, its doing this with backups also except my crisis 2 back up, that plays just fine, very boggling lol _________________________________________________________

Like i stated before i think in your post that you can spoof the drive it just wont allow it to work maybe its allowing 1 game go through but playing it rough by the sounds of it.
When Ap2.5 was introduced into games and with the latest updates from microsoft it checks the disk drive to see if it matches up with what should be in there and then boots the game if the ap 2.5 challenges are correct. Best just stick with putting the similar drive in so if its a lite-on put a liteon in. I know jtags can use different drives as it does not matter.
And yes it is possible to pull your full firmware of your lite-on i dont know why people say its not but it is a hard method (MRA) to do and its just best to pull the dummy info instead as it takes 2mins with the right tools to do it all.
So what im getting is that the samsung drive has the lite-on info spoofed to it if so you can do this if you have that info saved is open up jf load the spoof firmware then put in target firmware as the lite-on original which u can then spoof it and it should make it the original as it is just taking the key. Then load the lite-on drive that you want to put it on and get it into vendor mode and do the flashing process stick the drive in and test it out should play orginals wont play backups of course there is a reason for this as its not modded firmware.
Now that you know the key is good and everything and your fully updated on xbox dashboard and all that good stuff. Go back in and pull the firmware again using the probe method with a connectivity kit as they recommend you pulling the firmware from the latest dashboard you have and then go through the flashing process.
