Hi guys,
I'm prepping for a case mod as a first for the 360.
I got my design in mind and got my paint colour ready.
Justed orderded a dremel for a nice cut in my case.
Question about the plexiglas though.
Barring in mind that i find it hard to choose where to buy since i want the plexiglas to be cut for me...
What thicknes should i use for the case??
Smallest i found so far is 3mm thick. Is that a right choise?
I just found a shop where i can order a desired size, which is good so i dont need to cut the right size myself...
Also, which is a better choice, glue the plexi to the case or use screws to get them togheter??
Hope to see some reply's soon so i can order upcomming week.

i normally use 1/8 inch and im not to strong when it comes to mm but i think thats at least close to that so that should be fine and if its basic shape your local hardware store should be able to cut it for you.oh and p.s. use acrylic if you can it dosen't scratch as easy. _________________________________________________________
Ok, thanx for the heads up Vin..
I calculated it back to mm, 0.12inch= 3.04mm so we should be right on the money there ghehe
I'll be looking out for acrylic then, but what about the glue.
Do you use standard glue, or special plexi glue or do you use screws? _________________________________________________________ BlueBox v1.6 PAL

well screws are always good but hard to hide and hard to arrange them to look good.if you want to be able to remove the plexi easily you can get some small bolts and nuts and glue them to the inside of the window so you cant see them so you can easily remove the window for replacement of what ever, but i just typically use hot glue its clear easy to use and quick and still relatively easy to remove and it also makes a complete seal.you can use silicone or epoxy but its hard to remove and takes about 24 hours to cure vursis hot glue. (removable, clear, and just has to cool to cure)you can get the gun and the glue sticks for cheap as well and use it for many other things for your mod to i used it to place my windows, secure my leds, and secure my wires so that i can remove the stuff or what ever and it also conducts no electricity. _________________________________________________________
thanx for the rep again vin, good idea about the hot glue.
Still got one of those guns lying arround. Now i can finally put it to use.
I dont need to re open the plexi in the future as far as i know.
If i really need to re open the box i will take off the whole case anyway.
Good, thanx again, that hot glue will do the trick i guess.
Just gotta get myself a piece of 1/8 inch plexi at the hardware store and get going with my mod. I'll poste the results for some opinions. _________________________________________________________ BlueBox v1.6 PAL

Cut your holes out of the xbox case and then pull some cling film over it. Works just as good and a fraction of the price _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.

You wouldn't get a chance to stick your finger through it, the heat from the xbox would melt it first _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.
