Well my 2 year walk in and get a new xbox warranty at wal-mart has ended on my jasper console so I'm planning on opening it up and blowing all the dust out. What I'm wondering is this: I have a set of original tallismoon whisper fans in my old xbox. Are those better than the stock jasper fans or should I leave those in there?

I run whisper max in all my boxes.. I remove the retail fans all the time..
talismoon are a good brand so i dont see any prob with replacing them. You will have a spare set left too.

Good to hear your going to mod.. I'm guessing but you must be just going with a firmware flash and not a JTAG.. Smile firmware is easy, JTAG there is a little more to it. any problems just ask mate.

Nah actually no mods as it is my main xbox live box. I'm just opening it up to get all the dust out of it since my important warranty is gone. I don't have the whisper max but I have the original ones and they used to work really well. So I'll probably put those in there.

So I opened it up today, pretty damn dusty. Cleaned it out and put it back together.

It's a jasper console with a lite-on drive.
