Just wondering if the Kinect is powered by USB or an External PSU??
Anyone got one yet.. I haven't had the time to google it myself.
UPDATE:
oops, forget that.. Just got a email. heheh
The Kinect does not need external power if it is connected to the new xbox 360 (Slim). On the older xbox 360 system you need the external power supply.

Wayneski,
Yes it works on the older model xbox 360's no problem.. I just bought the kinect unit by itself. It comes with a power supply and plugs into any USB port.
On the newer kinects they have a dedicated USB port for kinect and you don't need the power supply. They are a much nicer box too and are alot of deals around at the moment.
Is Kinect still using some of the Xboxes processing power to work? I heard at one point it was going to be using 10% of the processing power of the xbox which would make some games run like shit. I then heard it would only be 2% of the processing power. I know wonder if they just put a CPU on the Kinect like they originally going to so that the xbox CPU has all of it's cycles left open still? _________________________________________________________
