Ok hmm...
Well softmod is out of the question for now i still think.
Jtag you must have a kernal dashboard 8985 that is lower then that i think it was.
The really only thing you can do if you are not able to do the jtag is u can flash your dvd drive to play burnt back up copys of your original games otherwise your a sitting duck quack quack
Either way to do any of this will void your warranty.
Hope this helps. Unless they come out with something like they just did or is rumored that they did for the ps3 were you can jailbreak it to play backups from the internal ps3 harddrive or external in fat32 format of course but man they have finally cracked the ps3 that far and to do this all you have to do is stick a flashdrive that you have to buy from them to make the ps3 think its like a dev kit and you just stick it in the ps3 usb port and ur done once you take it out u can not play backups from hard drives so does not void your warranty _________________________________________________________ The one the only Scarface!!

it does help, however i am kind of skepticle about the "direct flash" method.
my kernel is a 9199, and i need more information about the direct flash method on the DVD drive that came with my xbox. i want to kiss my game discs goodbye by using NXE2GOD, but not my games. my console isn't a devkit console, it's a retail console. do you have any files that will flash my drive into a devkit?
thanks...

If your console is not jtaged all ready then there is no way of doing anything but Flashing the dvd drive to play burnt backup copys of your games. That is of now anyways unless someone finds another hole in ms security some were allowing us to run homebrew. _________________________________________________________ The one the only Scarface!!

By flashing your DVD drive you can't run any homebrew software, gonna have to JTAG for that. There is no softmod like there is for the first xbox. With the xbox 360 it's either a console that has a JTAG or one that can't be JTAG'd. Since yours can't be JTAG'd, your not going to be able to run homebrew apps like NXE2GOD. _________________________________________________________

is there any way i can legalize the NXE2GOD as a retail so i CAN run it?
and if so, in what way?
if not, can you point me in the right direction? [thumbs up]
i am however in the process of making a system update for microsoft using blank hexadecimals so their computer can fill in the hexes and i can start legalizing it. what a legalizer does is that it converts a devkit app or homebrew app into a retail app where it can run the homebrew game like NXE2GOD. however, i have to fill the hexes with hyphens so their machines can fill in the update files and convert any kb into mb. resulting in a retail state of mind.
so if anyone doesn't have any apps that converts homebrew into retail, let me know so i can start pre-coding my own apps.

As darth says, you need a Jtag xbox. All you will be able to do is play backup games and nothing else.
The only people who could convert homebrew apps to retail would be m$ i think, you can email them and ask nicely but i think i know what the answer may be.
No Jtag = No homebrew _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.

what is microsoft's xbox 360 support email?
You can always firmware flash your DVD drive with modified firmware to allow it to play burnt Xbox 360 games. Thats about it. And MS won't tell you if there are any ways to hack their console. hahaha _________________________________________________________
