Hey, you can make back up's of games, but you will need to flash your DVD Drive firmware with modified firmware, and there is also Homebrew on the Xbox 360, but you need to have the Xbox Kernel version 2.0.7371.0 or lower, I'm pretty sure that the Xbox 360's are now shipped with the new updates so that the Xbox 360 can not be hacked. But there problably is a few sitting on eBay or some other website. A few good games you should consider getting are, obviously, Call of Duty Modern Warefare 2, Halo 3 and Battlefield Bad Company 2, those are all of my favorites. cool man, you may want to grab a copy of tveristy itll convert and stream most media from your pc over your network to your xbox! http://tversity.com/ im sure alot of people on here use it as well.
but really homebrew is limited unless you have jtag xbox (like mentioned above) there is 1 or two emulators that run over windows media centre, but im yet to set it up or try it out.
flashing the dvd firmware is the only other thing which i havent bothered with, because i dont have kids running round messing with my stuff! and anyways you can install to the hard drive so that preserves your dvd lens anyways!
so really...theres not much else as far as im aware unless you want to do some case modding! i have seen some games have gamesave exploits for cheats.
people do hack their gamerscore but obviously any kind of mod is very risky especially on xbox live.
