I've noticed well-doing gaming franchises like call of duty, guitar hero, and the lego games, get ahold of people, and then they make as many games as possible, is this bad, or just making money in your opinion?

They do lego everything. I liked lego star wars but not enough to buy batman, indiana jones and rock band also. But yeah, they find something people like and then bleed them dry.
I had never heard of guitar hero until it came out on the 360, and then it was everywhere and now they have guitar hero everyband ever.
But on the other hand games like guitar hero bring on innotive thinking and help progress the gaming industy, with the introduction of different instruments and then DJ hero (think i'm the only one on here excited about that )
But they do like the money, it's a business afterall, they would have tested MW2 better otherwise and not rushed it out for christmas. _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.
It can be a little of both. They do make games just for money (look at final fantasy for example) but they also make good sequels. I mean look at rainbow six vegas 2, that game was much better than the first one. _________________________________________________________

I say its all too much as well..
I'm addicted to the guitar hero and rock band series and its very hard to even try to keep up with each game they release.. I love my drums but its just getting way outta hand these days.. In the past 12 months i can count 5 Guitar hero games alone..
The call of duty series is getting that way too..Don't get me wrong, i love COD but another game or two and they are gonna burn it out. id hate to see what they are dreaming up for the next release. _________________________________________________________ HQ Network:

I tend to agree. But then maybe it's on you to buy other games and to branch out. I mean there are a bunch of games that came out that no one really cared about. I think it's sort of a thing that consumers and the publishers see that people want to make a safe buy. They want the same game with new content and won't make them mad that they didn't get value.
