Hello everyone!
I've been reading a lot about how to make backup of my games. On one of the tutorials aveilable here, it mentions that I need to have a SAMSUNG SH-D162C DVD Drive so that my computer can read the game dvd's. I've been looking online and the only one I can fine is the SH-D162D MODEL. Is there a difference between the two? How about the Pioneer Dl burner, does it have to be that model? I already have a dual layer, why should I invest on another one? Thanks!

The Samsung Drive your talking about is only used to READ the xbox 360 games to the PC.. Not to burn.. A normal pioneer dvd writer cannot be used to read/backup games, sorry! _________________________________________________________ HQ Network:

Thank for replying; I understand about the burner part. But how about the SAmsung DVD ROM model question is there a difference between the D162c & D162D model? I can only find the D162D model. The tutorial on how to make backup copies of Xbox360 games calls for using the D162C model. Thatmodel has benn discontinued, D162D model is the replacement or updated version of the D162C model. Can you clarify?

The main difference i can see is the access speed.
