Hi Guys,
Some of you may know me. I'm one of the admins from xbox-hq, so where better place to come and post an interesting question for my fellow HQ members.
I recently got given a broken 360, of which the guy told me he had no idea what was wrong with it. So, I happily opened it up and discovered someone had soldered some wires onto the underside of the board.
I've posted a few pics to see if anyone can shed any light on why this has been done, or what this achieves. The 360 at the moment seems to receive no power and will not turn on.
Anyway, thanks guys, hope you can shed some light on this for me.
That might be a fan or a light mod. Might want one of the more experianced guys to look at though. _________________________________________________________

Hey guys,
Yeah, bit weird ain't it? I've never seen anything like it before. One of the wires has come off from the board and there's like a sticky residue on both top and bottom of that area. Doesn't look good at all.
Still curious as to what this is, and with the box not turning on, its hard to tell, lol

I wonder if that loose wire shorted out the motherboard, if that wire came in contact with the metal shielding while the unit was running it's bye bye 360!!! I'm not 100 percent sure but with all those wires soldered to the board it looks like the guy maybe installed the Pulse VU 2x.. Unless he installed 100 cathodes in there you don't need that many wires, correct me if I'm wrong but that's what I'm leaning toward FinalCloud.. _________________________________________________________ Xbox V1.3

Why would anyone wire the whisper fan max underneath the motherboard when it already has it's own plug?? I guess there are other ways to wire but I just don't understand the logic behind this one? _________________________________________________________ Xbox V1.3
