This is an improved system, Israel had tried out a previous version but shut it down because of difficulty hitting multiple targets, not able to follow targets through clouds and the large amounts of toxic chemicals it takes to power the system. This new system fixes the first 2 problems, not sure about the 3rd, video and story did not mention anything about the chemicals. But with several of these systems it may put an end to mortar and rocket effectiveness.

Below is a system known as TROPHY. It is a very effective anti RPG system equipped to vehicles, it can detect an incoming RPG and take it out mid flight. This system was eventually scraped and they are working on something new, the problem was that the system could not distinguish between an RPG and a little kid throwing a rock!, the military did not want the bad publicity or video of a military weapon blasting an 8 year old kid throwing a rock at a tank.

This next video is the latest system they are testing out to replace the TROPHY system called QUICK KILL.

They are working on automated medical vehicals and all kinds of stuff. But I think systems that take out incoming rockets, artilary and RPG ARE life saving tech. RPG down, no one dies. take out a rocket or artilary round before it hits a city street. These are defensive not offensive technologies.

Take a look at USA i never saw them using weapons to in their territory.

Plus you know how much cost fire a round of those in a test?

Miss Universe.. err i mean X_Splinter. The army are the only people who have funding to further technology (now sadam has gone). Yes they use it for bad things, but the technology always gets passed on e.g. the internet, sat nav, superglue and other stuff i'm sure.

Anyway, its great watching things blow up. I wanna see the vid where the trophy weapon blows up the kid with the rock Smile

Its not a flame... My point is that people make so called high precision bombs but they all end up in someone else house. So If we get in to a war we all gonna see our houses in pieces.

Still is a good teck. I like the first one, the laser that could had save a town like Sarajevo in the 90's

As the second video, it is not a brand new teck, that "shield" is not very efficient plus the Russians have an anti-shield-tank RPG that fires 2 rockets at the same time

By the way about weapons, look how a military structure can grow. Remember Iran by the time Saddan invade it. Look at Iran today they made a new S-200 surface-to-air missile system.
