Alright so here it is, I'm just gonna be real with all you guys. I'm kinda scared to open up my xbox360 for several reasons.
1. I might break something (i dont know my own strength sometimes)
2. I'll break something....again (like accidently messing the circuits or something and when i put it back together it doesnt turn on or doesnt work and now i'm out of a 360. woooow)
3. Red Rings? (can i possibly cause that?)
I'm just mainly scared of breaking my system and then having to buy a brand new one again. Anyone got an extra I can buyz if mine goes "es" wrong? By the way, thatt's my bad spanish speaking there. _________________________________________________________ The Burninator...

Tell how far you wanna open your x360... If it is only for flashing... no need to be that afraid, if it is to do something in the motherboard thats different.
Of course i dont know your knowledge in open system, but if you follow a tutorial and dont touch anything you dont know... I see no problem.
Speaking male... Is like a virgin be gentle... With 360 the same

it's to fix my dvd drive. you know? the opening of the drive, cleaning or whatever or replacing the drive cause it doesnt open properly. I'm also thinking about painting my 360. So when i do decide to paint or whatever, where do I put the guts of system to make sure they dont get dust or touch something they're no supposed to? _________________________________________________________ The Burninator...

I did that a lot of times in my xbox1... Just dont look directly to the laser, and be carefull not to touch the small screws because you may damage the laser. I think thats easy you should try it.
Yah but if you go to hard she may not do it again soon.

^^lol
You can't just replace a drive in a 360. The drives in the 360's are made to fit the 360 they come with. So only YOUR drive will work in YOUR XBOX. There is a way around it by getting the key, but I'm not sure how to do it.
If you decide to paint your xbox, make sure to ground yourself before touching anything inside the 360 and put them in a place where there's not a lot of heat or dust....just watch the static electricity and you should be fine. I replace the case on my 360 and it was my first time opening it and it worked just fine so don't be scared.
Hope I helped!
Later,
