I was on Xbox live tonight and got into a discussion about a new xbox 360 coming out in october. They said all of the guts will be changed out for newer better stuff. Has anybody else heard this. Okay well I checked with one of my buddies in the know and he says that the only thing that will be newer is the cpu and gpu. The other parts will remain the same. No blu-ray drive or anything silly like that. But that is okay with me considering the falcon chipset has had a pretty good success rate. If they started changing all the parts inside we would probably see a whole new batch of hardware failures. And that wouldn't be good. The only reason they are coming out with a new version now is because the new chipset will be even cheaper to manufacture thus saving Microsoft alot of money. Keep in mind that the only profit Microsoft has made so far off of video games is from xbox live. All hardware they have sold has been at a loss especially with the original xbox. Not too mention the millions of dollars they have had to spend repairing the 360's rrods. Any other company would have thrown in the towel by now but Microsoft has mad money so they stay in the game. _________________________________________________________
The new ones coming out in October is the same as Falcon except it has both 65nm cpu and gpu (Falcons have 65nm cpu, but 90nm gpu, xenons and zephyrs have 90nm both) I believe the new one coming out is codenamed Jasper. Well my mate said that at his mate's dad's work there is this man that knows someone who cleans the house of someone who works for M$ and he said they are gonna be putting the guts of PS3's in xbox 360's from now on. _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.

I thought jasper was coming out in augest? Did the release get pushed back or am I just wrong because I thought I read an article last november that said it was coming out augest 2008. _________________________________________________________

No way! i know that guy and he drinks allot, and he is wrong the guys house he cleans has MS he don't work for MS, plus they are going to use PSP guts not PS3.
I also heard that M$ was not going to manufacture their own chipsets, they realized they can't do it
Probably going back to nvidea, but can only hope its ATI. That's a personal opinion
