Hi all,

Im sure you all know what i mean when i say Chameleon right??

For those of you who do not know Chameleon is an angle dependent optical shift paint, meaning the color you see will be dependent on the viewing angle.

Here's a pic of my car which is painted in Chameleon paint. (see attachment)

This is my show car which i modded and custom built myself a few years back including the motor, electronics and bodywork. It has a xbox 1 running the sound system and lots of custom stuff. (http://impslv.xbox-hq.com)

anyway, back to what i was saying..

Im thinking about making a custom Chameloen 360 with full colour shifting paint.. Has anyone else thought about this??? It would be so cool coz you could mount leds in the right areas and it will change color completely.

For example:
1. My car of a night is BLUE
2. In the Direct Sunlight it is GOLDEN BROWN
3. In the Shade it is purple

and many other colors depending on the light.

This would be such a cool effect on a 360 and I havent seen one yet.

I know paint is very expensive but its not like you would need much..

anyway, just throwing this out there.. another idea of mine when i have absolutely no cash to back it up.. heheheh rotf.. typical eh.

talk soon guys,

hobbs

Very nice hobbs! I love that style of paint. Actually since I now have a fourth 360 up and running I was thinking of painting the sides of my 360 mopar green which is almost a bright lime and then the faceplate black. Kinda like the old 71 cuda paint jobs. I was going to go with bumblebee yellow and then paint the faceplate black but the ring of light is green and wouldn't match. Sad I know I can buy one that is yellow but it is like 40 bucks which is way too much money I think for the little ring panel. Especially since I will just get it all painted up and looking sweet and then I will sell it. Laughing Anyhow props to you Hobbs on your nice looking ride. What kinda car is that by the way?

just to throw in a random fact about that colour, there was a few dreamcast special editions released with that chameoleon 2 tone colour back in the day, so it has been done on a console before!
