Ok first off hearing of these xbox dvd-drive firmware hacks is there a way to hack the firmware to read a 360 disc, not neccesarily play it, just read it. This would make it extremely easy to get the files, and then the iso creation. Then if possible to hack the demo disc to launch full games could u theoretically play backed up games without modding the 360, and without having to download massive isos.
Another one just as an afterthought. Once modchips come out (better if they actually do come out in 2 weeks) Could it be possible to reverse engineer the demo disc and make it a bit easier to launch full games and to find a "no-mod" way to backup games.

I moved to Hardware forums as its a hardware based question (DVD drives).
As for what your after I don't think its possible. In the Xbox they show up as DVD (not Game) when modified (well...my did)

yeah i realize that the current state of the xbox cant read the 360 discs even after a mod, but what if u hacked the dvd drives firmware to allow it to be read. It obviously can see it since it shows as a dvd. Ne ways i can dream cant i?
