Okay, let's face it, the launch games for the 360 aren't exactly up to much, and with so much shit flying around about faulty ones it doesn't seem like the ideal time to get one, the whole thing definitely feels rushed. Probably best off waiting til the launch hype dissipates, the price drops, when some decent titles are out, when some modding is available etc.
Although, I might consider getting one before Halo 3 if Halo 2 runs well on the system. Is it true Xbox games on the 360 run in 720p? What are people's experiences with playing it (and other xbox games) on the 360?

I was also wondering this... Anybody with hi-def TV's and a 360 that can shed some light on this?? _________________________________________________________

I have both of the Halo games, but, haven't played them
on the 360 yet. Bungie says they play better on the 360 than
native Xbox. I have played Forza, it boots up in 1080i
and plays pretty well. I think I might like it better on
the 360. I should play some back to back tests.

Halo 2 plays flawlessly on the 360 in 720p and the graphics are better than on the xbox. Forza is glitchy on my 360. It skips along in a half-assed frame rate the entire time in all resolutions (480p, 720p, 1080i). It makes it not worth playing on the 360. _________________________________________________________ Xbox 360 #2

For Shy29,
Have you played Forza Online on your 360? Mine plays well, but,
I get my A$$ handed to me, usually with a DNF. Then, when the
lap times are posted, MINE are quicker than the other racers.
Just wondering?

Forza ia so chunky on the 360 I haven't even tried online yet. I would not expect the game to run any smoother than it does offline. But I have read that some units run with a good frame rate. I don't understand why there would be any variation in the performance from one machine to the other? _________________________________________________________ Xbox 360 #2

That's Costco's return policy, from what i've heard, you buy anything from there, and you can return it at any time, for a full refund. Not sure how it works in practice but I've heard of people doing the same exact thing before. _________________________________________________________
