The reason I believe is simple M$ doesn't need it. 20GB will hold all of the gamesaves anyone could possibly ever use and demos aren't ment to be kept forever.
M$ stated in its last update list that it added support for video files to be played from disc or USB device. Seems like I remember reading a while back that you could play mp3s from an external USB HDD. Well if you can do the same with video (specificaly WMV files) then why does M$ need to come out with a larger HDD? It doesn't when you can go to walmart and get a 250GB for $130.
As far as the pics of the larger HDD seen on the Dashboard. that is simple M$ has dev units that look just like regular 360s but they are greyish and have larger HDD and all of the pics were taken from demonstrations of new products. It makes perfect sence that they are using dev units to demonstrate products that haven't been finalized yet. _________________________________________________________

The only thing i would say against your view is; if the survey that was sent to Live members is any indication of the type of services M$ want to offer to 360 owners than a larger hard disk will have to be offered.
Having an external drive is not big hardship but the average user won't want the extra cables and boxes coming off there 360. Also will these new services give you the option of saving the content to an external device? will M$ want you to be able to do that?.
One addition i would like is to able to stream/save to/from a NAS so i dont have to have my PC on all the time. _________________________________________________________

I didn't know about the questionare, but I also didn't get one. I'm wondering if anyone has tried a movie file on an external drive yet. My reason may be out the door before it even gets started. I may try one later when I get a chance. _________________________________________________________
